Confirmed West Ham team vs Fulham: Haller and Fornals start, Balbuena returns

Manuel Pellegrini has named a strong starting eleven as West Ham take on Fulham in their fourth pre-season friendly of the summer ahead of the Premier League campaign.

The Hammers boss has handed starts to his two newest recruits Pablo Fornals and club-record signing Sebastien Haller having trained with their new teammates since Tuesday at Rush Green.

Lukasz Fabianski gets his second run out of pre-season in between the sticks for the Hammers while Ben Johnson starts at right back with no place in the matchday squad for Ryan Fredericks.

Aaron Cresswell captains the side at left back.

Fabian Balbuena also plays for the first time this summer alongside Issa Diop in what is expected to be the Hammers first choice centre half pairing this season.

Felipe Anderson continues his record of starting every pre-season game so far this summer as he lines up on the left of a midfield four with Fornals, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere.

Up front, Haller will play the lone striker role.

West Ham: Fabianski; Johnson, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell; Rice, Wilshere, Fornals, Lanzini, Anderson; Haller.
