Confirmed Arsenal XI as Thomas Partey returns and Willian starts against Tottenham

Thomas Partey returns to the Arsenal team for today's north London derby against Tottenham having missed the last four games through injury.

The Ghana midfielder trained with his team-mates on Saturday ahead of the crucial Premier League clash and has been named in the side to face Jose Mourinho's team.

Mikel Arteta makes two changes to the starting XI which lost 2-1 against Wolves last Sunday with Rob Holding returning to the defence alongside Gabriel.

"At the same time we have to protect and make sure that when he gets back into the team he's ready to do that to whatever extent that we can use him," said Arteta last week.

"So this week is going to be crucial, the moment he's going to start to train with the team to see how he's feeling and how he's evolving day to day."

Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos drop to the bench while there is no place in the squad for David Luiz following his clash of heads with Raul Jimenez last weekend.

Arteta keeps faith with the same front three that struggled against Wolves with Willian down the right-hand side and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the left of Alexandre Lacazette.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho sprang a surprise with his Spurs team as Tanguy Ndombele was replaced by Giovani Lo Celso in midfield.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, Gabriel, Holding, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey, Saka; Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang; Substitutes: Runarsson, Mustafi, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Ceballos, Willock, Nketiah
