Red Nose Day 2019 launched into full swing with a string of knockout one-off specials in aid of Comic Relief.
Emma Willis, Paddy McGuinness and Lenny Henry kicked off the show by celebrating the staggering £1.25bn raised by Comic Relief over the last 31 years.
The first epic sketch of the evening was Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (Again), which saw Jennifer Saunders take the lead as both Cher and Meryl Streep.
The skit, which also starred Carey Mulligan as Sophie, the role taken by Amanda Seyfried in the films, and Gemma Arterton as young Donna, played on screen by Lily James, proved a hit with fans who praised it on the “great casting”.
