Colwyn Bay Barclays bank building has gone up for sale

A prominent bank building in the centre of Colwyn Bay has been put up for sale.

The site - which includes Barclays as tenant on the ground floor - is being sold on the instructions of the Joint Law of Property Act Receivers.

It is being marketed by Lambert Smith Hampton at a £200,000 asking price.

Barclays has not revealed any plans to close the bank and are currently on a rolling lease on the site.

A Lambert Smith Hampton spokesman said: "The property is prominently located in Colwyn Bay town centre at the corner of Conwy Road and Hawarden Road. Conwy Council’s new offices are located opposite.

"Offers in excess of £200,000 are invited for the freehold interest."

They added: "Barclays Bank occupy the ground floor and basement, with the vacant self-contained upper floors offering development potential.

"Current rental income of £18,200 per annum."
