Columbus Destroyers add former Buckeye Robert Rose

Former Ohio State defensive end Robert Rose has come full circle — kind of. The 6-0, 285 pounder came to Ohio State with monumental expectations as one of the highest rated defensive ends in the country coming out of the venerable Cleveland Glenville High School in 2006.

But he never really met those expectations. He had a contributing career in Columbus but went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft — eventually being picked up by Miami but ultimately released in 2011.

He’s been a bit of a journeyman since then, going to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League and then to other AFL teams in Cleveland and Las Vegas before being out of football in 2016. Now he gets to try and continue his football career in the familiar setting of Columbus Ohio with the Destroyers.

Welcome home Robert.
