Colts’ player of the game vs. Dolphins: LB Darius Leonard

In a week when most Colts fans, analysts, and Americans thought Indy would bounce back at home, it was an ugly loss to the Miami Dolphins instead. Injuries, turnovers and yet another missed kick contributed to the upset.

Linebacker Darius Leonard did all he could defensively to keep the Colts in the game. He finished the day with 13 total tackles, two passes defended, one sack, one forced fumbles, and an interception.

The pick came at the start of the fourth quarter when the Colts were down 10-6 and desperately needed a stop. Leonard battled Mike Gesicki and came away with the turnover.

After missing three weeks earlier in the season it looks like Leonard is back to his All-Pro form. While he is a spectacular talent, today showed he can’t do it all on his own.

Leonard and the Colts host the Jacksonville Jaguars and try to get their season back on track after two consecutive losses. One thing is for sure though, as long as No. 53 is in the middle, this team can hang in any game defensively.
