Colts’ Marlon Mack a game-time decision vs. Chiefs

Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack is listed as questionable for the Sunday night matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, and it seems the team is waiting until the pregame workout to determine his availability.

Mack tweaked his ankle during the second half of the fourth quarter loss against the Oakland Raiders and was only able to log a limited practice on Friday. With the bye week coming up immediately after Sunday night’s game, the Colts will reportedly be cautious with Mack, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

There is the chance Mack is able to suit up Sunday night, and he has a juicy matchup waiting for him if he does. The Chiefs are allowing a league-high 5.9 yards per carry to opposing offenses.

If Mack is unable to go Sunday night, the Colts will use a combination of Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins in the backfield, though the game script is in favor of the former.

Mack has been a solid contributor for the Colts to open the season and while there is a chance he plays Sunday night, the team has no problem being cautious with the bye week coming up immediately after the primetime matchup.
