Colts can move to first place in AFC South despite the bye week

The Indianapolis Colts may be on their bye week watching the majority of the league play in Week 6, but that doesn’t mean they can’t take first place in the AFC South.

With the Colts and Houston Texans both sitting atop the division with a 3-2 record, the former has a chance to come out of the bye week to separate themselves from the rest of the group.

The Texans are on the road in Week 6 at Arrowhead Stadium taking on the Kansas City Chiefs—who are looking to bounce back from the upset loss suffered at the hands of the Colts.

Though the Texans are coming off of a win in Week 5 where they torched the Atlanta Falcons for 53 points, the Chiefs will be able to set the pace for the game, especially if wide receiver Tyreek Hill makes his return from a shoulder injury.

If the Texans lose, the Colts will be sitting a half-game up on them entering Week 7, which just so happens to be the matchup when these two teams meet at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts will be watching from their couches during the bye week, and there is a chance they hold the top spot in the division when the week is all said and done.
