Colts awarded one compensatory pick in 2019 NFL Draft

The Indianapolis Colts have been awarded one compensatory pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, giving them nine total selections.

It was expected that the Colts would be awarded a compensatory pick with the departure of wide receiver Donte Moncrief, who signed a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The selection will be at the end of the fourth round at No. 135 overall.

The Colts had 11 selections in the 2018 NFL Draft, which allowed them to build a solid foundation on the roster on both sides of the ball. With another nine picks this April, general manager Chris Ballard will have immense opportunities to add depth to several positions.

With the success of the recent mid-round picks for the Colts since Ballard took over, there should be a solid chance to add talent to a roster that is beaming with potential.

With the addition of the compensatory pick, the Colts now have six selections in the first four rounds.
