Colts’ Andrew Ogletree arrested on domestic battery charge

Indianapolis Colts tight end Andrew Ogletree was arrested on a domestic battery charge Friday, Dec. 29, according to Hendricks County Jail records.

According to Indiana records, Ogletree was charged with “domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury” and “domestic battery committed in physical presence of a child less than 16, knowing child present and might be able to see/hear.”

Both charges are level 6 felonies. Court records indicate the arrest was made at 3:42 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon. He was not given bond.

Ogletree reportedly will not be active for the game Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Destin Adams of AtoZ Sports reported the team is aware of the situation and is in the fact-gathering stage of the process.

The team released a statement Friday night shortly after the news broke on social media.

We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving Drew Ogletree. The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.

Ogletree, 25, was selected by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He missed his rookie season due to a torn ACL he suffered during training camp. In 12 games (nine starts) this season, Ogletree has nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

We will update this situation when more information is provided.
