Colorado Lands Top-Ranked High School Offensive Lineman

Colorado coach Deion Sanders is aggressively trying to improve the Buffaloes’ offensive line for next season and beyond. He added a major piece to that effort on Thursday.

Jordan Seaton, a five-star prospect and the nation’s No. 1 offensive lineman recruit, has committed to Colorado. The IMG Academy product and Washington, D.C. native chose the Buffaloes over Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida, and Maryland, according to Rivals.com.

The 6’6”, 290-pound tackle announced his choice on FS1’s Undisputed and put out the call for other top prospects to join him in Boulder.

“You’ve got to believe in Coach Prime,” Seaton said. “Having the opportunity to play with somebody who’s done it at the highest level, a gold jacket level. Very few can say they did that.”

“I’ve got two Heisman candidates, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter; they’re amazing,” he added. “You know how they go. If you ain’t rocking with us and you claim you’re a dawg, why are you not coming to Colorado?”

Seaton announced his commitment to Colorado shortly after Sanders reportedly added former Oklahoma lineman and analyst Phil Loadholt to coach the Buffaloes’ offensive line.

The performance of Colorado’s offensive line was a major factor in the team losing its final six games of the season and eight of its last nine. Shedeur Sanders was sacked 52 times, more than any other quarterback in the nation, and ended his season with a fractured back

“That will never happen again,” Seaton told Undisputed’s Skip Bayless.

Additionally, the Buffaloes rushed for only 827 yards as a team, averaging 2.31 yards per carry and 68.9 yards per game, finishing last among FBS schools
