EA Sports College Football 26 has come out of the gates with a bang. Season 1 of Ultimate Team (CUT) has a ton of new content already, with more on the way. It can be a lot to keep up with, but we’ve got you covered with a comprehensive Season 1 guide to College Football 26 Ultimate Team.
Season One Field Pass
CUT content is broken up into seasons. Seasons, for our purposes, are a way to have themed battle passes. As you level up in the Field Pass, you’ll earn rewards to help you improve your team. Rewards can come in the form of player items, packs, coins, or trophies.
Earn XP in the Field Pass by completing objectives. You’ll be able to find objectives in the Field Pass screen inside CUT. There are daily and weekly objectives, along with some milestone objectives to complete. Dailies and weeklies are obtained by playing games, buying packs, and racking up stats and wins. After those, there are objectives for each special series that is a part of Season 1. You’re usually required to play a specific game mode or have a certain number of players from that series in your lineup when you rack up stats. Rewards for completing series-specific objectives can often be packs or coins.
CUT Season One Field Pass Rewards

Ultimate Team Currency
There are several types of currency in CUT. Here are the different types and how they’re used:
- Coins: Used to buy items in the auction house. You can earn coins by selling items in the auction house or the Field Pass.
- Trophies: Trophies are earned in the Field Pass and online modes. There are specific ways to spend points in College Football 26 Ultimate Team, each of which is in the marketplace.
- Points: Points are earned by pulling the most sure-fire card in Ultimate Team—the credit card. Use them to buy pack bundles in the store.
- Training: You can earn training points by quick-selling players. Spend the points to upgrade players and buy packs in the store.
Season 1 Solo Modes
CUT has plenty of solo modes that you can play against the CPU, in the event that you want nothing to do with the sweaty nature of online matches. There are a few changes this year, so know what you’re getting into before you start.
Study Hall is replacing Squad Battles in College Football 26. You’ll earn rewards as you try to complete a 12-game run against increasingly difficult opponents. Rewards might not be worth your time here, so check out what you’ll earn before you begin.
Seasons exist in Freshman, Varsity, and All-American difficulties, so all different levels of players will have a challenge. Win 5 games, then two more College Football Playoff games, and you’ll earn a bunch of coins along the way. Both Seasons and Study Hall are full games, but the games are typically very short.
Events are themed according to different promos like Stand Outs or Fresh Faces. There are requirements to take part, which are usually having a certain number of players from that promo in your lineup. Rewards range from packs to coins and are different for each event.
Finally, Challenges are back. Think of Challenges as moments from games. Some require you to earn X amount of yards, score some points, or do other specific things. When you complete challenges at the highest difficulty, you’ll earn the maximum amount of stars. Earn enough stars, and you’ll get the best rewards.
Season 1 Online Modes

College Football 26 Ultimate Team has three primary modes for you to jump into. They range from quick games to much more intense competition, so you’ll be able to take on the best of the best if you want to.
Head-to-Head Seasons are just like the Solos version. Win five games before losing two and make the playoffs. Then, win 2-3 playoff games and win the National Championship. If you can get on a run and win it all, there are a lot of coins to be had.
The Gauntlet is CUT’s high-risk, high-reward mode. It takes 50,000 coins to enter, and you’ll need to win 10 games before losing two to get all the rewards. If you win 10 games, you get 500,00 coins and three National Championship packs, so the rewards are excellent.
If you’re looking for a quick game, Overtime is for you. It’s overtime rules—each team gets the ball once, and you keep playing until there’s a winner. CUT is massive, so if you’re looking for more guidance, check out all of the things you should do first in Ultimate Team to ease into the game mode.
