Colin O'Riordan has called time on his AFL career due to injury.
O'Riordan famously returned home in 2020 to help the Tipperary footballers claim a first Munster senior title in 85 years, earning himself an AllStar nomination in the process.
However, having returned to Australia for his seventh year with Sydney Swans, the Killea man suffered an eye injury early in the year before a problematic hip injury forced the defender to retire from the sport.

O'Riordan, 26, made five appearances this year and 34 in total for the Swans, who he joined in 2015 and made his AFL debut for in 2018.
He won the Swans' Clubman of the Year award last year and the club has expressed sorrow at losing him.
"O'Riordan is a valued presence both on and off the field at the club," said General Manager, Charlie Gardiner.
"Despite battling injury this year his character never wavered as an exceptional person and valued teammate, and this was evident when he was awarded the 2021 Barry Round Best Clubman."
It is not expected that O'Riordan will immediately return home, but will decide on his future plans from his Sydney base.
