Thousands of people may be due a refund on their energy bills because of their financial circumstances and the especially cold weather.
Freezing temperatures have triggered in large parts of the country - prompting a £25 discount on your heating bill.
This is the scheme that runs from November 1 to March 31 every year - and gives those struggling financially an energy bill discount.
The payment may be available if a person is getting Universal Credit, Support for Mortgage Interest or another type of state subsidy.
A payment can be made if the average temperature in the eligible person’s area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below for seven consecutive days.
Cold Weather Payments checker - check if you qualify
The Cold Weather Payment has been triggered so far during this year’s scheme, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed.

So far this season, only Scotland has seen weather which is cold enough to trigger .
The weather stations reporting cold weather for a period of seven days include Tulloch Bridge, Braemar, Aviemore and Loch Glascarnoch.
After each period of very cold weather in the area, the eligible person should get the payment within 14 working days.
