Cocktail flavoured cheeses are too much for some Aldi shoppers who call them 'disgusting'

Aldi customers have shared their views on a new range of products which blends cheeses with the flavours of some of the nation's favourite cocktails.

A Pina Colada, Peach Bellini and Espresso Martini might be the perfect complement to cheese in the eyes of the creators but the mixture of the two has led some shoppers to call it "the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen."

The new product was shared in a Facebook group dedicated to new products in our favourite stores and had since divided cheese fans.

It's too much for some but others have chosen to see the positive side and have said they will give them a try when they hit Scottish stores next week.

Thousands of people have reacted to the news of the new product hitting our stores (Facebook)

NewFoodsUK shared the news and thousands of shoppers appeared to be horrified by the flavour combinations.

One revolted person said: "There is a special place in hell for this."

Another commented: "That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen."

"Seriously? Aldi have lost the plot," wrote a third critic.

A fourth slammed: "Ooh I'd love to try them all, said nobody ever.."

"Disgusting ruining good cheese Sacrilege!" commented yet another disgusted shopper.

However, the mood wasn't all negative, and some shoppers appeared keen to try the strange flavour combinations.

"Omg my 2 favourite things!!!!!! I shall be waiting at Aldi’s door", said one enthusiastic shopper.

"I would actually like to try these! One could be pleasantly surprised!" said another.

One more said: "Pina colada I'd try, pineapple and cheese go well together."
