Coachella 2019: Solange cancels festival performance with just DAYS to go

Solange has pulled out of her eagerly-anticipated slot at Coachella music festival - with just days to go.

Organisers were forced to tweet out on Sunday night that the Losing You singer was unable to take to the stage due to 'major production delays.'

They said in a statement: "Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival.

"She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future."

The announcement comes a year after Solange performed with her big sister Beyonce at the California music event.

Solange, who released album When I Get Home last month, has yet to speak out personally on the cancellation.

She had been due to take to the stage on Saturday along with the likes of Kid Cudi, Weezer and headliners Tame Impala.

Rolling Stone reports that Solange, 32, will also not be at the second weekend of the event.

Last year Solange made a surprise appearance at the festival with a cameo in her sister Beyonce's storming set.

The siblings delivered a routine to 'Get Me Bodied' to the delight of crowds on the Saturday night.

Solange came onto the stage shortly after a surprise reunion by Destiny's Child, who performed for the first time since 2015.

The trio sent the crowd into a frenzy with three of their biggest tracks: Lose My Breath, Say My Name and Soldier.
