'Clueless' Saturday Kitchen guest unknowingly repeats rude word live on BBC

A 'clueless' guest chef on Saturday Kitchen Live accidentally repeatedly used a rude word live on air - leaving BBC viewers in hysterics. Poppy O’Toole was cooking alongside show host Matt Tebbutt as they prepared a meal for special guest Alesha Dixon when the awkward but hilarious exchange occurred.

The TikTok star was discussing how she rose to fame on the social media platform with her potato-related posts - and how she now has four million followers - after being made redundant from a job. While explaining how she "very lucky" that it worked out for her, she was meant to say it had all started "on a whim".

But, she accidentally repeatedly used a vulgar slang word for a woman’s genitals instead, as reported by The Mirror. "It was just a little bit on a quim", she said, adding: "On a quim? Is that the right word?"

Matt quickly corrected her: "Whim". She replied: "Whim! Not a quim" as Matt said: "No." Laughing, Poppy then added: "What's a quim?", before a flustered Matt swiftly changed the subject. BBC viewers certainly found the embarrassing exchange comical as they reacted to the moment on Twitter.

Hannah Price tweeted: 'What's a quim?' Best thing ever asked on Saturday morning tv", followed by three laughing emojis. Beki commented: "Did she really just ask what a 'quim' was", adding: "Poppy right now not having a CLUE what she said lmao," alongside a GIF from the film Clueless.

Tom Cullen posted: "Wonderful wonderful scenes as the word quim gets said twice instead of whim on #SaturdayKitchen. Highlight of the year so far."

Stephen Van Meegeren added: "I would pay good money to see the moment @matt_tebbutt explained to his young guest what 'quim' means." Susan McLellan tweeted: "'On a quim. What's a quim?' You don't wanna know, love."

Peter Bellamy wrote: "The puzzled look on Poppy’s face says she has no idea what she said." Others praised Matt's handling of the situation, with Nick Cropper writing: "And the award for the keeping of the straight face of the year award goes to @Matt_tebbutt the consumate professional!!!" with laughing emojis.
