Cleaners share 'true carnage' inside car it took seven hours to reverse

Professional valeters have shared 'before' pictures of a car a parent dropped in - after it took them seven hours to clean.

The Mazda was coated in a thick layer of rubbish - clearly from children - including biscuits, sweets, wrappers, and a lollipop stick scattered around, along with dirt ground into the covers and carpets.

Writing on the Proline Automotive Facebook page, they described the scene inside the car as 'true carnage', reports The Mirror.

They added: "Usually we like to only share ‘after’ photos but this one was too funky not to share."

The job took the team seven hours with the seats and carpets shampooed and cleaned multiple times to 'remove sticky substances, deep stains and unpleasant odours'.

The post read: "Unfortunately the remaining marks on the seats were caused by baby seats and are irreversible.

"We always recommend to people who have just purchased a new vehicle to place a towel under baby seats to avoid this type of damage if child seat safety guidelines approve this."

The car was unrecognisable afterwards, but some were appalled at how it had been allowed to get in such a bad way in the first place.

One said: "That is absolutely disgusting, have they never cleaned their car!?"

But for some parents, the photos were welcome assurance that they weren't alone.

One commented: "Wow. If you guys want a real challenge I've got an Imax. Six kids under 7. It’s a bit feral!"
