Claudia Winkleman can no longer do up her zips after lockdown family meals

Lockdown has caused Claudia Winkleman to pile on the pounds – but she insists she couldn't care less.

The 49-year-old Strictly Come Dancing host admits she's put on weight over the past three months.

But she has come up with a perfect way of dealing with it – turning the camera off on Zoom calls!

The star has been opening up about lockdown life and says her two teenage children have been dishing up some wonderful meals.

Jake, 17, and 14-year-old Matilda have kept Claudia and their dad Kris well fed and the telly favourite says that has come at a price.

Claudia told The Sun : “I have definitely put on weight because I can no longer put on anything with a button or a zip. Any stiff closure is not going to work for me right now.

"I don’t weigh myself and I don’t care. I just know that the jeans I was wearing in November would now no longer get on my arm. I am very relaxed about it, I genuinely am.

“We like eating a lot as a family and we have the two teenagers cooking, taking on different meals.

“Of course I’m going to get stuck in — and I’m going to eat it all."

Claudia and Tess Daly could finally get to dance on the Strictly, if Rylan Clark-Neal gets his way that is.

The show hosts have never done a routine in Strictly’s 17-year history – but Rylan, who co-presents spin-off It Takes Two with Zoe Ball, is pushing BBC bosses for a hosts special.

Asked if he would compete on Strictly, he revealed: “Everyone always asks. But the only thing I’d do now would be a special if it was me, Claud, Tess and Zoe – just the four of us.

“Because we’re all working on the show, it wouldn’t seem like there were any favourable comments.

“If there was a Christmas special like that and we all signed up, why not?”
