Class 12 boy from Bihar, marked 'female' in admit card; faints in exam hall full of girls: Report

A class 12 student in Bihar's Sharif's Allama Iqbal College fainted in the examination hall and the reason will leave you surprised.

The boy's aunty told ANI that the reason he fainted inside the exam hall was he got nervous after discovering being the only guy amidst 50 girls.

The boy had been to Brilliant School to appear for his intermediate examination. He was there to appear for his mathematics paper.

He also developed a headache and fever and was taken to the hospital.

"He went to the examination center and saw that the room was full of girls, he became nervous and developed a fever, and he fainted," ANI quoted his aunt saying.

Students usually panic before board exams and get more nervous before tough papers like mathematics and science. And for the teenager from Bihar this anxiety got coupled with being alone among 50 girls

Was it gynophobia? Might be. But we all also know how eagerly we look for familiar faces of our friends during exams!

But why was he allotted a center where only girls were there? Was it intentional?

On this the Principal of the exam centre told the media that his admit card mentioned that his gender was female, which the boy should have got rectified before the exams and maybe this is why he was allotted a centre where only girls were allotted.

Goof ups during exams are not new in India. We have seen Sunny Leone on admit cards of candidates!

Before important exams like board exams, students are asked to submit personal details. Once the final registration for the exams is done, admit cards are issued to students which serve as the proof of being registered for the exam. Usually students are given a decent amount of time to rectify the mistakes.

However, many students and parents bother not to check the admit cards and other details. The pressure of exams and the fear of losing time for preparation might be the reason.

While on one hand the examination system entirely decides the fate of a student, such goof ups keep on happening every year.
