Clare Balding has shared the secret to her long-lasting marriage with wife Alice Arnold.
Broadcaster Balding, 55, and Mellow Magic host Arnold, 64, met in 1999 while working at the BBC and had a civil partnership in 2006.
They officially married in April 2015 after the legalisation of same-sex marriage.
Balding, who recently appeared on The Celebrity Traitors, often shares photos with Arnold enjoying golf trips together and holidays to far-flung locations.
Balding said their romance has stood the test of time thanks to their shared interests and love of communicating, with the pair texting and calling each other all day if they’re apart for work commitments.
“Alice and I just have the most lovely time together, we have so much fun and we enjoy doing the same things to relax,” she told The Mail.
“But also we have the same work ethic, Alice works for Mellow Magic, she's a radio person through and through. She totally understands the broadcast environment and she's very honest with me and will say if she thinks I haven't done something well or could do it better, so I think there's that level of trust and honesty.”
Balding added that the pair remain in constant contact, especially if she is away travelling for work.
“You know, we talk,” she explained. “If I am away doing Winter Olympics or something like that, we talk twice or three times a day and I will message all the time.”

The presenter previously said her love story with Arnold inspired her new novel, Pastures New.
"One of the things I wanted to write about in my novel was about falling because I thought, 'I know that,’” she told HELLO! last year.
“I know what real, deep love is and meeting someone I want to grow old with. Lucky, lucky me."
Clare added that, as well as watching television together, they also enjoy golfing and cruising.
"Alice and I are about to go from New York up to Quebec and back again and we're going to Japan on a cruise next year. We love being on the water and then ending up in a new place,” she explained.
