The Cincinnati Bengals announced five players as inactive for the Week 2 contest against the Dallas Cowboys.

Some notable names pop up on the list:

  • RB Trayveon Williams
  • OL Max Scharping
  • OL Hakeem Adeniji
  • TE Devin Asiasi
  • DT Jay Tufele

Hakeem Adeniji was active over D’Ante Smith as the swing backup tackle last week but the coaches go the opposite direction this week. Max Scharping came over as a notable waiver claim around roster cuts but has yet to be active. Ditto for Devin Asiasi and Jay Tufele.

The biggest piece of news is the omission — wideout Tee Higgins is active and was reportedly expected to play.
