Cillian Murphy continued his award-winning streak by clinching the top acting prize at the 21st Irish Film and TV Academy Awards for his role in Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer.' The accomplished actor, who had already secured prestigious awards like the Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and SAG award, expressed his gratitude for being recognized in his home country.

During the ceremony, Murphy shared his joy at being surrounded by loved ones and fellow industry professionals. Lily Gladstone, who presented Murphy with the award, praised his remarkable achievements, referring to his wins as a 'clean sweep.'

The event also saw other notable figures in attendance, including Sharon Horgan, Neil Jordan, and Pierce Brosnan. The Irish rap band Kneecap, known for their comedy biopic, added to the star-studded guest list.

Several films received accolades at the awards, with 'That They May Face the Rising Sun' winning the coveted Best Film award. 'Lies We Tell' also garnered multiple awards, including Best Director, Best Script, and Best Lead Actress for Agnes O'Casey.

Paul Mescal was named Best Supporting Actor for 'All of Us Strangers,' while Alison Oliver took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Saltburn.'

In the drama category, 'Kin' emerged as the Best Drama, with lead actress Clare Dunne winning the Best Actress award. The supporting actor category saw Richard Dormer clinching the award for his role in 'Blue Lights.'

Internationally, 'Oppenheimer' was recognized as the Best International Film, with Paul Giamatti winning the Best International Actor award. Emma Stone received the Best International Actress award for her performance in 'Poor Things.'

The awards ceremony celebrated a diverse range of films and talent, highlighting the richness of storytelling in the industry. With a mix of established stars and emerging talents, the event underscored the vibrancy of the Irish film and television landscape.
