Christopher Walken Plans Low-Key 81St Birthday Celebration At Home

Christopher Walken, the renowned actor, is set to turn 81 next month but has no grand plans for his birthday. In an exclusive interview at the Dune: Part Two premiere in New York City, Walken shared that he intends to keep it low-key by staying home on March 31.

Walken, who recently joined the cast of Dune: Part Two as Emperor Shaddam IV, alongside stars like Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, refrained from giving advice to his younger co-stars, emphasizing the importance of wearing a seatbelt instead.

Despite the age gap, Walken found his time on set with the cast to be pleasant, describing them as nervous and excited to work with him. Florence Pugh, who plays his onscreen daughter in the film, shared that filming with Walken was intense yet surprisingly light-hearted, with the actor engaging in conversations about doughnuts between serious scenes.

Dune: Part Two, a sequel to the first movie, continues the story of Paul Atreides as he seeks revenge against those who destroyed his family. The film, based on Frank Herbert's novel, delves into Paul's journey alongside Chani and the Fremen, as he grapples with the fate of the universe and his personal relationships.

The highly anticipated Dune: Part Two is scheduled to premiere on March 1, 2024, promising fans an immersive continuation of the epic saga.
