From fiendishly good mince pies to decadent truffles and the perfect cranberry sauce, everything you make can be taken home and used at the Christmas dinner table. On the day, Felicity will draw upon her popular column for the Guardian, How to cook the perfect…, to teach you how to get perfect results for classic recipes. This hands-on masterclass is a fantastic opportunity to learn from Felicity’s skills as a cook, and be inspired by her infectious enthusiasm for really good food. What you’ll cook

  • Bourbon mince pieces, made with fiendishly good orange pastry
  • The perfect cranberry and port sauce to have with Christmas dinner
  • Potted salmon with zesty lemon butter and cucumber pickle
  • Some sweet spiced nuts for your Christmas guests to snack on
  • A delicious mulling syrup, to blend with your own wine or cider at home
  • Fig and ginger chutney (perfect with cheese)
  • Decadent spiced chocolate truffles (perfect anytime)

What to bring

  • Please bring along an apron and/or clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy
  • Please bring along your own tupperware and/or containers if you’d like to take home the food you’ve made on the day

This class takes place at School of Wok, an award-winning cookery school in Covent Garden, central London

More about your teacher…

Felicity Cloake writes the Guardian’s popular How to Make the Perfect… column, and is the author of three recipe books: Perfect, Perfect Too, and Perfect Host. She’s also a freelance journalist and food columnist for the New Statesman. In 2011, Felicity won the Guild of Food Writers New Media and Food Writer of the Year awards.
