Councils in Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral, Sefton and Halton today lift the lid on when to put your bins out over Christmas and New Year 2021.
Wth mounds of wrapping paper and evidence of our food and drink intake piling up it's important to know the dates your bins will be collected over the festive period and New Year.
The ECHO has asked local authorities across Merseyside to share their revised bin collection services so you can put your bins out in confidence this Christmas.
The following dates have been provided by Liverpool Council, Knowsley Council, St Helens Council, Wirral Council and Sefton Council and Halton Council just over the border to ensure you are fully aware of any changes to your normal bin collection date.
Liverpool City Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
Collections run as per normal up until Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve
Friday collections normally expected on December 25, Christmas will now take place on Tuesday, December 29
Monday collections normally expected on December 28 will now take place on Wednesday, December 30
Tuesday collections normally expected on December 29 will now take place on Thursday, December 31
Wednesday collections normally expected on December 30 will now take place on Saturday, January 2
Thursday collections normally expected on December 31, New Year's Eve will now take place on Monday, January 4
Friday collections normally expected on January 1 will now take place on Tuesday, January 5
Monday collections normally expected on January 4 will now take place on Wednesday, January 6
Tuesday collections normally expected on January 5 will now take place on Thursday, January 7
Wednesday collections normally expected on January 6 will now take place on Friday, January 8
Thursday collections normally expected on January 7 will now take place on Saturday, January 9
Friday collections normally expected on January 8 will now take place on Monday, January 11
Monday collections normally expected on January 11 will now take place on Tuesday, January 12
Tuesday collections normally expected on January 12 will now take place on Wednesday, January 13

St Helens Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
Collections due on Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve will be collected as normal
Collections due on Friday, December 25, Christmas Day will now be collected on Tuesday, December 29
Collections due on Monday, December 28 will now be collected on Wednesday, December 30
Collections due on Tuesday, December 29 will now be collected on Thursday, December 31
Collections due on Wednesday, December 30 will now be collected on Saturday, January 2
Collections due on Thursday, December 31 will now be collected on Monday, January 4
Collections due on Friday, January 1 will now be collected on Tuesday, January 5
Collections due on Monday, January 4 will now be collected on Wednesday, January 6
Collections due on Tuesday, January 5 will now be collected on Thursday, January 7
Collections due on Wednesday, January 6 will now be collected on Friday, January 8
Collections due on Thursday, January 7 will now be collected on Saturday, January 9

Bin collections will then resume as normal from Monday, January 18.
The council say have your recycling and waste out for collection from 6:30am. Excess cardboard often generated over the festive period can be stacked neatly for collection.
If additional recycling is to be presented, residents are asked to keep materials separated (cardboard, glass, paper, plastics, cans) and not to put it out in tied black bin bags.
Wirral Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
Collections due on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 will now be collected on Sunday, December 27
Collections due on New Year's Day, Friday, January 1 will now be collected on Saturday, January 2.
All other rubbish and recycling collections are on the normal scheduled day.
Garden waste collections shut down over a four-week period, from December 14 until January 11.
Knowsley Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
If your bin was due for collection on Monday, December 21 it will now be collected on Saturday, December 19.
If your bin was due for collection on Tuesday, December 22 it will now be collected on Monday, December 21
If your bin was due for collection on Wednesday, December 23 it will now be collected on Tuesday, December 22
If your bin was due for collection on Thursday, December 24 it will now be collected on Wednesday, December 23
If your bin was due for collection on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 it will now be collected on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24
There is no change to collection times for bins being collected between Monday, December 28 to and including New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31
If your bin was due for collection on New Year's Day, Friday, January 1, 2021 it will now be collected on Saturday, January 2, 2021

Sefton Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
The council say the normal alternating grey/brown wheelie bin collection pattern will continue over the Christmas period.
Collections will take place as normal from Monday December 21 to and including Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24
If your bin was due for collection on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 it will now be collected on Monday, December 28
Collections will take place as normal from Monday December 28 to and including New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31

If your bin was due for collection on New Year's Day, Friday, January 1, 2021 it will now be collected on Saturday, January 2, 2021
Please make sure you put your recycling and waste out by 6.30am on your collection day.
The weekly clinical waste collection service scheduled for Friday, December 25 will now be collected on Christmas Eve
The clinical waste collection service will be suspended from Christmas Day to New Year's Day
Halton Council Christmas 2020 bin collections
Bins will be collected as normal from Monday December 21 to and including Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24
