Christmas at Wollaton closes due to adverse weather conditions

The popular Christmas at Wollaton event has been cancelled to to the adverse weather conditions brought on by Storm Arwen.

The Christmas lights display returned to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park on November 26.

Due to demand, the event was extended to seven weeks with extra timeslots so more visitors could enjoy the trail following last year's events.

But organisers have confirmed the event will not be open on Saturday, November 27, following snowfall across the county.

A statement published on its social media pages states: "We were so excited to finally bring you the magic of Christmas at Wollaton, however due to adverse weather conditions, we have taken the difficult decision to remain closed for today (Saturday 27th November)

"Ticket holders will be contacted for alternative visit dates. We can’t wait to welcome you back."

The event opened Friday, November 26 and will run until January 9, 2022.
