Christine McGuinness 'really not fine' ahead of seeing Paddy at NTAs

Christine McGuinness has admitted she is "not fine" ahead of seeing her husband Paddy McGuinness at tonight's National Television Awards.

The couple separated in July, after 11 years of marriage. They share three children, Felicity, Leo and Penelope.

Prior to their split, Christine and Paddy made a BBC documentary about their family life, after she and their children were diagnosed with autism. The documentary is up for an award at the NTAs on Thursday.

Speaking honestly with her many Instagram followers, Christine said: "Hey everyone I just thought I'd come on and say, 'Hey!' It's been a while. I know I've been quiet, I've had loads going on which I know most of you are aware of.

"Lots of you have been checking in on me which I really, really appreciate. Thank you so much .I'll be honest, I'm not going to lie, I'm not going to come on and say, 'I'm fine. I'm just having a little quiet time'. I'm really not fine.

"There's been far too much on my plate recently, but I'm doing okay. I'm having more good days than bad and I've missed talking to myself on here."

Turning the topic to the awards, she added: "I'm a nominee for the documentary that me and Patrick made with our children and I'm really anxious. I'm quite nervous, just because of everything obviously. It's not the best situation".

When the former Miss Liverpool announced her split from Paddy earlier this year, she said it was a "difficult decision" but that they were both "moving forward as the best parents" they could be.
