Christine McGuinness' happiness McDonald's is open as it's 'only meal her kids will eat'

Christine McGuinness is overjoyed McDonald's has reopened as it's the "only meal" all three of her autistic children will eat.

The model and wife of Take Me Out host Paddy took to Instagram on Saturday as she shared the delightful news with her fans.

Alongside a snap of three Happy Meal boxes, Christine, 32, expressed her relief, gushing: "3 months later. This really is a very "Happy meal".

"The only meal all three children will eat. Its beige, it's dry, it looks the same, smells the same and tastes the same.

"Not everyone will understand our happiness that @mcdonaldsuk is open, but those who's children have food aversions will know the sigh of relief from this mama!.. [heart emoji]".

Christine admitted she is a "happy mummy" for the sake of her gorgeous kids Leo and Penelope, six, and Felicity, four.

It comes after the proud mum-of-three revealed she had mixed emotions following the twins' return to school on Wednesday.

The blonde beauty shared an image of Leo in a paddling pool, writing that it wasn't an "easy" decision to make, but she and husband Paddy are taking it "one day at a time".

She revealed she just wants her kids to feel "happy and safe" but believes they are getting there after lockdown hit them hard.

On Instagram she wrote: "Trying just a couple of hours, seeing if the twins are happier and more settled with some routine back and if they can do school life safely then that’s we will do!"

"Ultimately I just want them to be happy and safe, which I feel they are," she added.

However the doting mother announced she and Paddy haven't had any notice regarding when their youngest child will be going back to nursery.

Christine continued: "We haven't heard anything from nursery for our youngest yet, I have no idea if/when they will open."

She admitted she's "can't wait" for Felicity to go back as she is "struggling so much" during the lockdown.

"And honestly she is struggling so much, I can't wait to get her back in for her well being although I’m preparing for a difficult time settling her again."

Christine and Paddy's children were diagnosed with autism aged three - which affects how people perceive the world and interact with others.
