Christian Eriksen's message to Man United supporter as talk of Spurs exit increases

Christian Eriksen's future could be a major talking over the last two days of the transfer window.

The Tottenham star has just one year remaining on his contract, but with no extension in sight it has left his Spurs' future very much in doubt.

This month signals one of the last opportunities for the north London side to recoup a fee for the playmaker, meaning that he could yet secure a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

While Real Madrid have previously been linked, Manchester United are the side who are credited with the strongest interest.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is keen to add a midfielder to his squad and is thought to be interested in a potential cut-price deal for the Denmark international.

While a move remains a possibility, Eriksen didn't discuss his future when he was approached some Man United fans during Spurs' pre-season trip to Asia.

In a clip that emerged on social media, the midfielder give the supporter a high five but then said: 'Hey, wrong shirt man!'

Eriksen's comment was clearly said in jest, but could be an indicator that a summer switch to Old Trafford might not be on the cards.

Tottenham's supporters will certainly be hoping as much as they pray to keep hold of their star man.

Christian Eriksen has been one of their most consistent performers since arriving at the club in 2013.

If the 27-year-old is still a Tottenham player by Friday morning, there will certainly be an audible sigh of relief around the white half of north London.
