"There's a throw-in, and then I go out to the side, and I turn around a bit, and I see Christian on his way to the floor, and we know a little about how he reacts, what that means," Denmark captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg told Danish broadcaster TV2.
"(Everyone) reacted super-fast and with respect ... I can only compliment how much courage those who took care of Christian on the field had. I can't say much more than that you get a shock, and that the most important thing is that Christian is doing well."

How did Eriksen react to incident in 2021?
20:56 , Kieran Jackson
After his recovery, Eriksen told the BBC that he remembered “everything apart from the five minutes” he was unconscious.
“I remember the throw-in, the ball hitting my knee and then I don’t know what happened after.
“Then I woke up with people around me and felt the pressure on my chest, trying to get my breathing back, and then I woke up – I opened my eyes and saw people around me, I didn’t really understand what was going on.
“At that time I had no idea what had happened, then it goes through my head: ‘Did something happen with my legs? Did I break my back? Can I lift my leg up?’ – all small things I was trying to do to see what happened.
“Then in the ambulance I heard someone say: ‘How long was he out for?’ and someone said: ‘Five minutes,’ and that was the first time I had heard I was gone.”

“A few minutes before he fell ill, he had a tussle with Ruslan Malinovskyi, and I thought that was why he looked distressed, but I was wrong.
On game being abandoned: “From that moment on, neither I nor the players on the pitch could have carried on with the match.”

Incident comes five years after Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020
19:55 , Kieran Jackson
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 during a group stage match against Finland, when his heart stopped for roughly five minutes.
The former Tottenham star was astonishingly able to make a full recovery after being given an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), which can detect dangerous heart rhythms and deliver corrective electrical shocks if necessary.
And while he was unable to play for his then current club Inter Milan due to the ICD, with Italian football regulations prohibiting him, he went on to restart his professional career at Brentford, returning to action just eight months after the harrowing incident at the Euros.
He made a comeback for Denmark two months later before joining Manchester United in the summer of 2022, where he played for three years.
