Chrissy Teigen gives refreshingly honest opinion on celebrity weight loss

Time and time again when celebrities are asked how they maintain their supermodel figures and Hollywood ageless faces they claim they just eat healthily and exercise as if it is just that simple and therefore us mere mortals could and should gladly follow suit.

Similarly, when women in the public eye have children and then appear to be the same shape they were nine months prior in a matter of weeks, the same rehearsed answer is often given.

Thankfully, Chrissy Teigen has been honest about the process telling women that actually celebrities like herself are in a very rare and fortunate position.

The 30-year-old gave birth to her first child, with husband John Legend, Luna in April and has said that unsurprisingly reclaiming her ‘post-baby body’ was aided by her vast team of nutritionists, personal trainers and nannies – something that non-celebrities tend not to have at their disposal.

“Anyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything,” she told Today. “So I thin people get this jaded sensation that everybody’s losing [their pregnancy weight] so quickly but we just happen to be the ones who are out there.

“We have nutritionists, we have dietitians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like that’s normal or like that’s realistic.”

The model has adopted a frank and honest approach since finding herself in the public eye and regularly uses her social media platforms to call out trolls. Shortly after giving birth to her daughter, she and Legend called out the ‘mum shaming’ she got after being pictured going out for dinner a few weeks after the birth of her daughter.
