Chris Sutton issues blunt two-word response to Celtic team news

Chris Sutton has reacted to Celtic team news with a blunt two-word verdict.

Brendan Rodgers made eight changes to his Celtic side to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Only Anthony Ralston, Callum McGregor and Auston Trusty keep their place in the starting XI from the win over Hibernian at the weekend.

Valjami Sinialo, Maik Nawrocki, Jeffrey Schlupp, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, James Forrest, Yang and Johnny Kenny come into the side.

Rodgers had named his side after the win over Hibs as he promised changes for the trip to take on Aberdeen.

Responding to the team news and vast number of changes, Sutton posted on X: "Celtic Reserves".

Discussing his squad, Rodgers had said before the match: "Cam (Carter-Vickers) would miss this game, but hopefully, he will be okay for the weekend.

"Ali Johnston is back. Daizen Maeda, we're recovering. He came in this morning with a little niggle. He trained, but we're keeping him here just to get him treatment and make sure he's okay for the weekend and the following week.

"So there's no need to take any risk with him. Apart from that, the same squad."

CELTIC XI: Sinisalo, Ralston, Trusty, Nawrocki, Schlupp, McGregor, McCowan, Bernardo, Forrest, Yang, Kenny.

SUBS:  Schmeichel, Johnston, Taylor, Scales, Idah, Kuhn, Engels, Hatate, McArdle.
