Chris Paul reveals impact of a recent Warriors practice

The Golden State Warriors snapped their six-game losing streak with a hard-fought win over the Houston Rockets on Monday (Nov. 20.) Golden State has been struggling to find their rhythm on offense throughout the month of November but will likely hope that their latest win will see them turn a corner.

When speaking to the media as part of his post-game availability, Chris Paul revealed how the Warriors had recently held a practice session focusing on ball movement and pace of play. The 38-year-old noted that the practice was “really good” and allowed the team to get additional reps with different rotations.

“It’s really important when you have a lot of new faces,” Paul said. “There’s been a lot of different guys in and out of the starting lineup. You know, the starting lineup has changed a few times. You just need to get those reps in practice. We had a really good practice a few days ago where we talked about how we wanted to play and move the ball. All of us within out team knows it looks a lot different.”

Golden State’s win over Houston was not the style of basketball the Warriors have discussed playing. The ball movement that Steve Kerr wants from his team is still a work in progress and will likely remain that way until there is a period with a settled rotation.

Nevertheless, the Warriors found a way to win, which will only improve the team’s confidence and get everybody in the locker room in the same direction moving forward.
