Chris Evans could be relied upon to turn up late – or even fail to show up at all – in his 90s heyday, but many thought he had turned a corner when he took over from Terry Wogan on Radio 2. Alas not. The Independent reports that Evans turned up almost half an hour late to his Radio 5 Live broadcast of the US Masters on Saturday night. "I apologise profusely," he panted into the microphone. "I ran in from where I was. I had no idea we started at 9pm. I was in the foyer having a water and a chat."
