The official scorecards for Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 have now been revealed, with one judge having the seemingly one-sided rematch even after eight rounds to spark strong criticism from fight fans on social media.
Benn’s promoters Matchroom Boxing posted the scorecards on X shortly after their man delivered something of a masterclass to earn a wide unanimous decision victory and successfully avenge his points defeat in a thrilling first fight at the same venue held back in April.
“One sided beatdown,” was the rather gloating caption supplied by Matchroom, though a closer look at the round-by-round scoring led to a big surprise.
Judge John Latham, who refereed the welterweight co-main event of the night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium between Jack Catterall and Ekow Essuman, had the bout level at 76-76 heading into round nine, having awarded the fighters four rounds each up to that point.

Latham gave rounds one, two, four and five to Benn, but had Eubank Jr on top in rounds three, six, seven and eight.
By contrast, fellow judges Howard Foster and Marcus McDonnell both had Benn winning comfortably 79-73 by that stage, giving Eubank Jr only one round each. Foster gave him the eighth along with Latham, while McDonnell had Eubank Jr winning the sixth.
Latham scored the final four rounds all in favour of Benn, including a 10-7 in the 12th after Benn’s dramatic two knockdowns in the final minute that almost led to a last-gasp stoppage. He scored the fight 116-110 to Benn overall, 8-4 in terms of rounds.
Foster, meanwhile, scored it 119-107 to Benn after giving Eubank Jr just the eighth round and the rest all to Benn, including a 10-7 in the 12th.
McDonnell scored the bout 118-108, giving Eubank Jr round nine as well as six. He also scored the final round 10-7 in favour of Benn.
