Chris and Rosie Ramsey's new tour crashes website as fans clamour for tickets

Chris and Rosie Ramsey crashed a ticket website on Wednesday morning as fans clamoured to get their hands on tickets for their new tour.

After the sell out success of their Sh*gged, Married, Annoyed tour last year, which saw them place to two consecutive packed crowds at Newcastle's Utilita Arena, as well as playing to huge audiences at London's O2 and Wembley arenas, the husband and wife podcast mega stars are going back on the road in 2023 for more of the same. Chris announced news of the new tour at the weekend, taking to Instagram to write: "It’s happening! #s*aggedmarriedannoyed LIVE! A brand new 2023 tour."

He then followed that up with a list of the dates, which are set to kick off in Hull on November 16 and also include shows in London, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, before they round off in Newcastle, when the couple will play the Utilita Arena again on December 15 next year. Next to the dates Chris gave out details on how fans could get their hands on pre-sale tickets, before they were made available to the general public.

It was those tickets that went on sale early on Wednesday and after Chris had tempted fate by posting 'hoping websites don't crash,' that's exactly what happened. The second pre-sale links in the inboxes of those who'd signed up to get early tickets, they all clinked on the link, causing the website to crash.

Chris returned to Instagram to explain what had happened and urging those who'd had technical difficulties to check their emails for a new link, after a new ticket page had been hastily set up. A number of fans filled the comments thread underneath with their disappointment, having tried and failed to get their hands on tickets. One asked: "Have the sites crashed again? I’ve tried getting 2 for Birmingham or Cardiff and the site is saying there’s none available."

The announcement of Chris and Rosie's new tour comes as viewers lap up their new BBC show, with this week's episode seeing them joined by Martin and Shirley Kemp.
