Chislehurst: Body of woman, 46, found on street in leafy suburb

Police are investigating after a woman was found lying dead outside on a quiet, leafy road in south-east London.

The “unresponsive” body of a 46-year-old woman was discovered at 8.20am on Friday in Yester Road, Chislehurst, where detached homes can fetch up to £2million.

Her death is being treated as “unexplained”, police said.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called after a woman was found unresponsive.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

The body of 46-year-old woman was found at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called to reports of an “incident” at the junction between Yester Road and Southill Road.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

“Sadly a patient died at the scene.”
