Chinese New Year will begin on Sunday, January 22 marking the start of a new lunar year.
Festivities kick-off with firecracker displays and parades planned in Liverpool. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. The rabbit was selected out of 12 animals, which rotate in sequence every year.
The animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.

Previous Years of the Rabbit include 1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 and 2011. Apparently, anyone born in these years will experience fluctuations of luck in 2023.
