Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée Brittany Matthews announces pregnancy

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is having the absolute best year of anyone out there.

He became a Super Bowl champion and MVP, he became the highest-paid athlete in sports history, he got engaged to his high school sweetheart and now he’s going to be a dad. Mahomes’ fiancee Brittany Matthews posted to Twitter and Instagram, sharing the joyous news that she and Mahomes are expecting a child.

“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews wrote on Instagram.

The pictures show the happy couple holding up an ultrasound photo of their future child.

Matthews had sparked some pregnancy buzz when she modeled some athletic wear on her Instagram just a few days ago. It turns out that those who thought they saw a baby bump were right. Now there’s a new Mahomes coming into the world and everyone will anxiously await a gender reveal.

Congratulations are in order for the king and queen of Kansas City.
