Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes announces new foundation ’15 and the Mahomies’

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made an announcement during his appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ on Monday evening.

Mahomes announced to the world the start of his new foundation which is called 15 and The Mahomies. Here is what Mahomes had to say about it during his appearance:

“It is a foundation that is designed all around kids. Kids from the underserved communities that don’t get the same opportunities that I had whenever I was young, kids that are in the hospital that have chronic illnesses or have suffered major injuries. Those are the kids that train harder than me by a hundred times — every single day. I want to make sure that I can give back to them in any shape or any way in order to get them the resources that they need to have an amazing life.”

You can find out more about Mahomes’ foundation on the official website www.15andthemahomies.org.

Mahomes teased the announcement on Twitter ahead of the airing of the late-night talk show.

Shortly after the announcement premiered, a Twitter account for his foundation tweeted out an official announcement for the foundation.

Mahomes also spent some time talking about his Texas Tech Red Raiders being in the Final Four. He spoke about his experiences as the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs. Specifically he spoke on his experiences in his rookie season behind Alex Smith and his conversation with Tom Brady after the AFC championship game.

As a sidenote, Mahomes also got the loudest applause from the live studio audience during Jimmy Fallon’s introduction of his guest lineup. This is a lineup that included comedian Tracy Morgan and Game of Thrones Actress Maisie Williams. That just goes to show you the type of star that the Chiefs have in the building.
