The Chiefs are set to hit the road for the second consecutive week in Week 7, visiting the Tennessee Titans in Nissan Stadium. Despite the Titans’ upset win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, oddsmakers still favor Kansas City heading into the game. According to Tipico Sportsbook, Kansas City will be a 5.5-point favorite over Tennessee with an over/under point total of 56.5 points scored. That’d put the final score somewhere around Chiefs 32, Titans 25.
This is the 55th time these teams will have met during their history, dating back to the Titans’ days as the Houston Oilers. Kansas City currently leads the all-time record 30-24, with the Chiefs’ last win coming in the 2019 AFC Championship Game. Tennessee defeated Kansas City just months prior when the team traveled to Nissan Stadium during the regular season, a game that was considered a turning point in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning season.
This time around, Tennessee is dealing with quite a few injuries, especially on the defensive side of the ball. It should raise some opportunities for the Chiefs’ offense to have a big game, but Titans RB Derrick Henry remains a massive threat, even to a resurgent defensive unit in Kansas City. This game has the makings of an offensive showdown on paper, which means it’ll probably end up being a low-scoring grind-it-out game won on the defensive side of the ball.
