Chicago Bears’ 2019 preseason schedule dates and times finalized

The Chicago Bears preseason games had already been set earlier this offseason, but the NFL officially finalized the dates and times for the team’s four preseason contests.

The Bears kick off their preseason slate at Soldier Field against the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. before traveling to New York to play the Giants on Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m., which will be the first of two times they’ll see the Giants, as they play them in the regular season.

In Chicago’s third preseason game, or “dress rehearsal,” the Bears will travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts on Aug. 24 at 6 p.m.

It’s worth noting that last season, Matt Nagy held his starters out of that third preseason game after they were hit by an injury bug to players like Leonard Floyd and Adam Shaheen.

It wouldn’t be unexpected if Nagy did the same this year.

The Bears will wrap up their exhibitiion slate against the Titans on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m.

Here is the Bears’ full preseason schedule (all times in central time):

Thurs., Aug. 8: vs. Panthers 7 p.m.

Fri., Aug. 16: at Giants 6:30 p.m.

Sat., Aug. 24: at Colts 6 p.m.

Thurs., Aug. 29: vs. Titans 7 p.m.

All of the Bears’ preseason games will air on Fox, and replays will air on NFL Network.
