Chhattisgarh's Tarunesh Singh Parihar elected vice president of BVCI

RAIPUR: In a boost to Chhattisgarh cricket that received the permanent membership of BCCI in 2016, the Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI), led by union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, has inducted Chhattisgarh Veteran Cricket Sangh secretary Tarunesh Parihar into the governing body of the BVCI as a vice president. Parihar will be handed over the responsibility to develop veteran cricket in the respective zone.

Parihar is the only sportsperson from Chhattisgarh who has represented the state in four different games - cricket, football, weightlifting and powerlifting. He was appointed as the manager of the national team during the Bangladesh tour in November-December, 2022.
