Chennai: Lawyer among 3 held for selling ganja

CHENNAI: A three-member gang including a lawyer was arrested for selling ganja from a rented house at Thirumullaivoyal on Wednesday.

The arrested have been identified Saravana kumar, 46, a lawyer at Vellore, Daniel, 21, of Thayyur, and Guna, 27, a woman from Perumbakkam.

A raid was conducted on a tip at Pattipulam.

Police said Saravana kumar and Guna decided to sell ganja to earn quick buck. They rented a house for a month for the purpose from where police seized 2.5kg of ganja from them. A search has been launched for Bhakiaraj of Madhavaram and Deenadayalan of Ambathur. Police said that they had brought the ganja from AP.
