Chelsea predicted team vs Everton: Kepa to return as Billy Gilmour gets Premier League start

Chelsea are back in Premier League action this afternoon as they take on Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are coming off the back of an impressive FA Cup win over Liverpool on Tuesday night, but the injury issues for Lampard have started to mount.

Mateo Kovacic is another player set to miss the match, with Jorginho suspended and N'Golo Kante also set to be on the sidelines for another game.

That means Billy Gilmour could get another start in the middle of the park after his exceptional display in midweek, however, there is a choice to make over his partner.

Mason Mount and Ross Barkley are the leading candidates, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek got through another 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors game on Friday.

With some winger issues as well, Mount might be forced to move further forward again, and potentially a move to three at the back.

Kepa was excellent on Tuesday as well, so he should return to the Premier League starting XI, playing his first game in the league since January.

With the potential of nine players missing for the game, Lampard's options could be sparse, so Cesar Azpilicueta might move back into the right of a back three.

Pedro has had a resurgence in recent weeks, and he could start with Olivier Giroud up top once again with Tammy Abraham still not fit to return.

Predicted Chelsea XI (3-4-2-1): Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger; James, Gilmour, Barkley, Alonso; Pedro, Mount; Giroud.
