Chelsea launch £34m bid for Real Madrid star as Blues make Billy Gilmour transfer decision

Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Monday, November 15.

Chelsea bid for centre-back

Chelsea have reportedly bid £34million for Real Madrid defender Eder Militao as Thomas Tuchel intends to bring in defensive reinforcement.

That's according to El Nacional, via the Daily Star, who add that the Spanish giants are reluctant to sell.

Following the departures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane in the summer, Militao has become an integral part of Carlo Ancelotti's defence, missing just three minutes of action this season.

Blues to make Gilmour decision

Chelsea will make a decision on Billy Gilmour's future in January, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.

Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Tuchel said: “We’ll take the decision in January, when the decision has to be made, not now.

“The things were clear when we decided together that he is looking for more minutes and more game time in another club.

"The challenge was clear that he needs to fight his way through.

“Right now things are not going as he maybe wishes and we all wish for, but now is not the moment to already give solutions and cancel the whole project."

Abraham's advice

Tammy Abraham has revealed that Jose Mourinho told him to be more aggressive after signing from Chelsea in the summer.

“[He said] Just be a monster, really,” Abraham told the Telegraph.

“I think one of the things he said was I was too much of a nice player and that you have to show that aggressiveness as you’re getting older as a striker.

"It’s not always about being nice on the pitch. You need that character, you need that presence to frighten defenders and I think that’s something I’m learning and getting better at.”
