Chelsea fans will love how Didier Drogba celebrated penalty shootout success against Frankfurt

There has been a lot of reaction to Chelsea reaching the Europa League final via a penalty shootout last night (Thursday).

With themselves and Frankfurt unable to be separated over two legs and extra time after a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, it came down to spot kicks to decide who would make it into the final of the competition.

Chelsea may have thought that Ruben Loftus-Cheek's first half goal would be enough to see them through in normal time. But Frankfurt had other ideas, and drew level via a Luka Jovic strike in the second half.

Hazard's fitting farewell & Kepa's redemption - 5 talking points from Chelsea win over Frankfurt

Teammates will have David Luiz and Davide Zappacosta to thank for the tie going to penalties, as both made extra time goal line clearances to stop Frankfurt taking the lead.

But Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was the hero of the night. The Spaniard saved penalties from Martin Hinteregger and Gonçalo Paciência to wipe out César Azpilicueta's earlier miss and ensure that Chelsea fans would go home smiling having made it through to their first European final since 2013.

There is one particular former player's reaction that will increase the smile on the Blues' fans faces this morning.

Didier Drogba is a club legend at Stamford Bridge, scoring 164 goals in 381 appearances over two separate spells with the club.

A tweet from Chelsea's official account showed how the Ivorian reacted to Eden Hazard's winning penalty.

It shows the former striker celebrating the spot kick by shouting 'Vamos' at the top of his voice.

I'm sure they'll be a similar celebration should Chelsea overcome Arsenal in the final on May 29th in Azerbaijan.
