Thiago Silva has been a big signing for Chelsea.
The Brazilian has not played since hobbling off against Tottenham at the beginning of February, but it is testament to the Blues' defending since Thomas Tuchel arrived that they have not missed him.
The former Paris Saint-Germain ace had been in impressive form for the Blues prior to his injury, showing his wealth of experience and quality under first Frank Lampard and then Tuchel.
He has been a leader at the back for Chelsea, but not just on the pitch it seems - he is also proving to be a leader off the pitch too.
Thiago Silva had formed a fine partnership and understanding with Kurt Zouma at the back, and he has been only too happy to ensure his defensive partner continued to be a rock at the back without him.
After Kai Havertz opened the scoring against Everton on Monday night, Thiago Silva, who was on the bench, where he would remain for the rest of the evening, could be seen beckoning Zouma over to him.
Silva was spotted talking to the young centre-back while the other Chelsea players were still celebrating and while we do not know exactly what was said, it appeared to be passing on advice and knowledge to keep Zouma switched on.
Thiago Silva had obviously spotted something himself in the way Everton were playing and telling the Frenchman to remain vigilant.
On Reddit, user SMReddits posted a clip of the moment and said: "Straight after Chelsea scored yesterday, Thiago Silva called Zouma to the sideline gave him instructions and told him to focus. Leader."
Sunnyglacier6 said: "He is going to be one hell of a coach what a leader. So happy to have this kind of champion mentality on the squad to pass onto the youngsters."
Meanwhile cowdude179 responded: "He looks like a coach here lmao."
