Chelsea fans all say the same thing after Thomas Tuchel makes Tammy Abraham decision vs Everton

Striker Tammy Abraham has been left out of Chelsea's matchday squad for the third premier League game in succession after failing to make the cut for tonight's showdown with Everton.

The former Aston Villa and Bristol City loanee, who is the Blues' leading goalscorer this season with 12 to his name, had been left out of the Blues' matchday squad that have faced Manchester United just over a week ago, raising questions about his future.

Abraham was then left out of the match-day squad against Liverpool at Anfield on Thursday evening because of an injury problem. But after making a return to training in the build-up to tonight's clash with the Toffees, the England international was expected to return to the matchday squad.

However, he has once again been left out of the 20-man squad, raising questions about both his immediate and long-term future at the club.

Unsurprisingly, his omission from the squad has sparked a reaction from the Chelsea supporters who are watching at home. Many of them have taken to social media to share their views on head coach Thomas Tuchel's decision, with many of them believing that something has occurred between the pair behind the scenes, acting as the reasoning behind his continued absence.

Below, football.london has taken a close look at what some Chelsea fans have had to say on social media.

As you can see from the tweets above, some Chelsea supporters believe something has gone off behind the scenes between Tuchel and Abraham, whilst others believe he needs to be sold this summer to fulfil his potential.

Despite it seeming that Tuchel does not consider Abraham as a player that fits within his plans, certainly in the here and now, it is a surprise when taking into account that the striker is the club's top scorer so far this term.

Only recently, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson waxed lyrical about Werner, insisting he would prefer to see him spearhead Chelsea's attacking line instead of Timo Werner.

"I would have Tammy Abraham to score more goals than Timo Werner," Merson told Sky Sports. "I would, there is no doubt about that.

"There is a lot of work to be done with this lad [Werner]. I know he has been brought in at 24 years of age for all that money. I have watched loads of him there and there is loads of stuff with him in and he is nowhere near the finished article, not even close.

"There are times when he will go down the wing and cross the ball into the box when there is literally nobody in there."

Merson continued: "But if you said to me: 'Who is going to score the most goals?', I would say Tammy Abraham.

"Abraham is a goalscorer and I don't think this lad looks like a goalscorer."
